About Us

Where the harbour
became a table.

Four stalls, one deck, one steady view of Durban's working harbour.

Our story

A food market, not a restaurant.

On Point sits right where Durban's working harbour meets the water — tugboats and cargo ships pass close enough to watch from your seat. It isn't a single kitchen. It's a market: four independent stalls sharing one deck, one view, and one steady stream of regulars.

"So many options under one roof that nobody in the group has to compromise."

Families come for the kids' play area and the dog-friendly patio. Regulars come for the sunset. Everyone leaves talking about the harbour lights coming on over dinner.

How the day moves

A day at the Point.

Same harbour, three completely different moods.

06:30 — Morning

Coffee & the water waking up

Coffee, milkshakes and a slow start while the harbour comes to life. Quiet enough to actually hear the water.

Midday — Lunch

The full market, all at once

Burgers, pizza, sushi and seafood — the whole boardwalk in motion, kids in the play area, dogs underfoot.

Golden hour — Sundowners

Craft beer, harbour lights

The Pink G&T comes out, the ships' lights start reflecting on the water, and nobody's in a hurry to leave.
